Spring Tune Up Run Reminders

All of the points discussed below have been noted at last two Spring Tune Up Runs. They are just a gentle reminder that our motorcars need attention.

Fuel:
If you have never run the car have you had the tank and fuel lines cleaned out?
Have you check that rust and scale in an old tank have not clogged the line or
    port out of tank?
Is your tank full, preferable with fresh fuel?
Do you have a filter in your fuel line?
If you are running an Onan CCKB have you checked the breather from block
to carb. If that is clogged you will get oil in points box and short out the points.

Spark Arrestor:
Spark arrestors can clog with carbon matter and reduce engine performance and I
suspect even prevent an engine from running. Your spark arrestor maybe the kind
that can be easily "drained" by removing a plug. Others may require disassembly to
clean an internal screen material. This maintenance is needed on both 2 and 4 cycle
    engines equipped with spark arrestors.

Bearings:
Axle, idler and Center Support bearing should be greased.

Battery:
Have you started the car recently?

Electrical system:
Check lights, horn, radios, intercom and other electrical components for
    functionality.
When is the last time you checked points?
